- The city directory for 1901, issued by Cannon & Co.. the book most often consulted, most frequently borrowed and most seldom returned, has made its appearance, accompanied as usual by the Brewer directory and the initial appearance of the directories of Hampden and Veazie. The volume has the same familiar features and is of the same size as Its predecessors. The type, this year, is machine set, the linotype machine being used for the first time, and is a trifle smaller than that of the last edition.
