- Preface. Again we present a new edition of the BANGOR AND BREWER DIRECTORY, No. 11, of the regular series, printed on calendered paper, with new type, State census, &c. We would respectfully call attention to our advertising department where are represented the most reliable business houses in the city, and citizens would do well to patronize. Americans visiting Europe will find our Directories on file at Messrs. Henry F. Gillig & Co.'s American Exchange and Reading Room, 449 Strand, Charing Cross, London, W. C., and 35 Boulevard des Capucines, Paris. Persons must know the precise spelling of a name before looking for it, as names pronounced the same are often spelled differently, and appear on different pages. Thanking the several communities where our agents have collected their information for the present number for their assistance.
