- The focal point of Urban Renewal at the time was the Kenduskeag Stream Urban Renewal Project. Many photographs of the area considered in need of renewal are included, as are architectural concepts for the renewal plans. In June of 1964, voters of the City of Bangor approved the Kenduskeag Stream Urban Renewal Project at referendum by a vote of 4,044 for to 3,568 against.
