- An act to grant a new charter to the City of Bangor, Penobscot County, State of Maine, repealing all laws or parts of laws in conflict herewith. Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine, as follows: Article 1. Rights of the City. Section 1. The inhabitants of the City of Bangor, in the County of Penobscot. shall continue to be a body politic and corporate by the name of the City of Bangor, and as such shall have, exercise and enjoy all the rights, immunities, powers, privileges and franchises and be subject to all the duties and obligations now appertaining to or incumbent upon said city as a municipal corporation ...
