- Photograph of the A. Langdon Freese parade float in the Bangor Carnival Trades Procession. "... Now and then, there stood out one of such beauty or significance that the crowds cheered all along the way. One of these was the float entered by A. Langdon Freese--as lovely an effect as can be imagined. The trappings of the horses were of pure white, with the Freese crest in green, and the float was in white, too, with decorations of pink and white crysanthemeums. Great white wings, as of some bird or butterfly, flapped in the foreground; and then--all the remaining space was filled with the sweetest of little children, who smiled into the faces of the crowds."--Bangor Daily News, June 19, 1912
