- Ruins of the First Congregational Church at Broadway and State streets. This was the third church building built on this site, completed in 1853. It is said that during the fire of April 30, 1911, the burning church spire on top of the hill at State Street could be seen from miles away. The fourth church building on this site was built in 1912-1913. It was called All Soul's Congregational Church and consisted of the united congregations of the First Congregational Church and Central Congregational Church, also burned in the fire.
