- The 1978 CRUSADER staff dedicates this yearbook to the graduating classes of John Bapst High School. Throughout the 50 years that Bapst has been standing, forty-eight classes have graduated leaving the traditions of the past, memories of the days shared and expectations of the future years which have grown to become a part of us... What distinguishes one group of classes from another? Students will come and go leaving empty desks for new students to fill. Many faces will be remembered, but how many will be forgotten? Memories, happy or sad, will separate our span of years from others. Whether one may recall the LTC championship, freshman inistions, the girls PVC-B track championship, loyalty song, the remorse felt after losing a game, the retreats; they are ours to keep and hold to remind us of our high school years. Our span of years is unique and is different from others. We will be remembered for what we did in our four years at Bapst. As we have watched other classes graduating, sometimes we may have thought what it would be like to graduate, to decide what college to go to, to make decisions, to be on our own. As we now look forward to our future we feel that our years at John Bapst have built a solid foundation with which to face whatever challenges our lives may hold. We leave one chapter behind with all the necessary information to move on to the next.
