- One Dow entrant in the recent Paul Bunyan Open Golf Tournament was Lt. Col. Vincent Braun, deputy commander for material. The colonel shot 310 in the 72 hole Paul Bunyan tourney (photograph). -- Richard W. Higgins. a native of Bangor, maintenance supervisor of the 42d Armament and Electronics Maintenance Squadron, Loring AFB, Maine, has been selected as Strategic Airman for the Year 1959 (includes photograph). -- Noreen French, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George M. French, Orland, Maine, and A-2c Lee J. Campbell of the 4060th Organizational Squadron, were united in marriage in a Protestant rite double ring ceremony conducted at the base chapel on August 17 at 7 p. m. by Chaplain (Captain) Norman G. Folkers.
