- T/SGT. Louis E. Coffet of the Base Police Flight points to the base Safety Bulletin and one of his favorite safety slogans "Poor Judgment Results in Accidents"(photograph). -- The first formal retreat ceremony this year at Dow was held by men of the 4060th Combat Defense Squadron in front of Group Headquarters building. Major Lloyd R. Bishop, Commander of the Combat Defense Squadron and Dow's Provost Marshall, took the first step in hopes that other squadrons will follow. The squadron held a retreat ceremony Monday and Wednesday and they will hold another one today (photograph). -- Three Dow men, SSgt. Kenneth R. George of Brooklyn, New York, SSgt. J.D. Bynum of Converse, Louisiana, and SSgt. William H. DeVerna of Jackson, Mississippi, signed reenlistment paperwork.
