Born on Armistice Day, he gave the enemy no armistice, fighting at the Solomon Islands and Peleliu Island, Palau Group, Caroline Islands, where he received wounds from which he died later at sea. Native of Bangor. Graduated from Bangor High School, 1939. Went into construction work. Presidential Citation. Purple Heart. Navy Cross. 333113
