Killed north of Tarifa, Cadiz, Spain, in the accidental crash of the C-47 troop carrier airplane on which, as radio operator, he was flying from Sicily toward England. Born in Millbridge (sic.), Maine. Student at Bangor High School and member of its R.O.T.C. Trapper and outdoorsman. 11045102
